Storm Update (December 24)

All of today’s Masses for both St. Benedict and St. Leo’s will be celebrated from St. Leo’s. The same Mass schedule for this weekend will apply. Due to the travel bans and weather, it would be illegal and dangerous for our priests to drive to St. Benedict’s. Unless the weather changes, tomorrow’s Masses will also be celebrated from St. Leo’s. You can watch all Masses on the livestream here: https://stleothegreatamherst.com/about-st-leo-the-great/live-feed/

Mass schedule:
Christmas Eve: 4 PM & 5 PM, 10 PM & Midnight
Christmas Day: 8, 9, 10 & 11 AM

We urge you to follow all directives from our local officials regarding driving bans and minimizing unnecessary travel.

Please know of our prayers for you and your loved ones during this time and let us remember to pray for and help those who are most vulnerable during this storm.

Venerate the National Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima

Venerate the National Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, pray the Rosary and hear the Message of Fatima at St. Leo the Great: Join us on the feast of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Wed. August 22, as St. Leo the Great parish, 885 Sweet Home Rd., Amherst, welcomes the national traveling Fatima Statue for the day. We will begin with morning Mass at 8am in the chapel and the statue will be venerated all day in the main church. At 6:30pm there will be recitation of the Holy Rosary and a talk on the Message of Our Lady of Fatima by the statue’s custodian, Mr. Bill Sockey. The statue was blessed by Pope Paul VI in 1967 in honor of the 50th anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions at Fatima. It was entrusted to the World Apostolate of Fatima, USA, headquartered at the Blue Army Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Washington, NJ. It is a public association of the faithful under the Pontifical Council for the Laity in Rome. This is free and open to the public.
